Why is Lae'zel dead ?

I just started playing (bought the game Jan 1) and almost at the end of Act 1. .After the crash, I found Shadowheart, Astarion, and Gale straightaway but could never find Lae'zel. .When I was at Risen Road I triggered the cutscene where the dragon destroys the bridge, it happened so fast I wasn't sure what happened. I decided not to engage since I was pretty low level at that moment. .Well, after completing almost everything else in Act 1 I decided to check out the mountain pass. Couldn't play at release,, I can finally commit. Pick my MC!

Nothing too wild or difficult, I haven't played a crpg in a while. But I did play old school AD&D way back. About the paladin characters...

Thinking about the paladins I've seen in this game, Zevlor, Minthara, the false Tyr paladin I forgot the name of, Ketheric Thorm.are ANY of them good aligned? Emperor is completly justified

Many people treat him like heartless tyrant and view him as hypocrite, tyrant who demands full obedience and blind trust. He does give you the reason to trust him and if you do, you succeed. You survive, defeat the Netherbrain and you both get to live. I do not think him leaving you if you decide to free Orpheus is hypocritical at all. In order to reach this state of events you need to get Orphic hammer, conspire behind his back with Raphael or/and Voss, he openly says that getting Hammer is point when his trust in you breaks, but even then he . . . Is BG3 worth it for someone who doesn't like the setting?

Hi, I'm a long time D&D fan, although most of my experience comes from the older editions (B/X edition and AD&D 1e are my faves), not much 5e experience (tried to run 5e campaigns on two separate occasions and various things got in the way).I know very little about Baldur's Gate 3, but everyone keeps recommending it to me, from close friends, random people I meet to even some of my college professors. If this many people like it, then maybe I think it might be worth checking out, although sadly, the game does cost money, so I do want to see if . . . [More]

I'm looking to start a new campaign in honor mode for myself. In my current campaign, I'm having a lot of trouble buying items from merchants, even though I'm collecting everything in the world to sell. Im doing my first real play through, and decided to play on tactician and would really like some advice/tips. So far i made it to the cove after finding the guy who can respec your characters. Battles are pretty challenging , but I’m making do. What are some general advice for beginners, and do i have to look up an op build? I hope not.
